The mission of the TEGGE CIRCUS ARCHIVES, an independently owned and administered collection, is to help promote and to preserve the history of the traditional circus. Accrued over a period of four decades by TIMOTHY NOEL TEGGE, its holdings date back to the late 1700's, integrating hundreds of original lithographed posters and advertising materials, thousands of photographic images, miles of motion picture footage, vintage costumes, artifacts, and specialty items. Pieces of this impressive collection have been displayed in various museums and galleries across the United States and Canada, featured in numerous television and motion picture productions, included throughout the pages of books and publications, and used by authors, producers, and researchers worldwide.

Timothy Noel Tegge will present a lecture/workshop on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville in connection with his touring exhibit of circus history, "Step Right Up:  Behind the Scenes of the Circus Big Top, 1890-1965."
